Martin Jjunju is a Masaka born and raised painter and sculptor. He graduated from Kyambogo University in education and the industrial artists. Jjunju has been an art teacher at the secondary school level most of his life while he practiced painting and sculpting during the same time.

Today, however, he is a full-time contemporary artist working with acrylics on canvas. His art practice focuses on comparative study between his childhood and his children's lives now that he is a father. Particular about texture, Jjunju insists on thick colors to bring out the vivid figures of his memories. Currently he is affiliated with Weaver Bird Residency’s MAKE MASAKA project where he together with other local artists are painting numerous murals around Masaka City.
