The aKAZI group exhibition "The Power of Collaboration: Black Synergetic Voices", celebrates Black History Month and brings together talent from Nigeria, Burkina Faso, South Africa, Moçambique and Senegal. It manifests once again the beautiful partnership between two galleries dedicated to Art from the African Continent in Atlanta: aKAZI and Gallery Miriam as well as HDDC. The exhibition intends to make the many strands that go into celebrating Black History visible in Sweet Auburn and Atlanta.

aKAZI showcases a multiplicity of voices emanating from the African Continent, helping break down the monolith ascribed to the Continent. Black History Month provides the opportunity to scaffold these different narratives even more intensively by shining a light on the erased histories of the Continent. These histories are increasingly critical, especially as communities the world over authentically craft a more equitable future informed by the best in their pasts.
